is about a little girl and her innocence. The issue on how she views the world differently in comparison to teenagers. how she sees things with another meaning, for example someone getting stabbed would be horrifying to her  whereas its a normal thing for youth and adults.

Institution- shank is an film that is made by an independent film company, i know this because the names of the three company that support this film is unknown. This conveys others idea’s that this is a low budgeted film. Whereas if it was a warner bros film, i would know the film was created by a sussessful film company and then i’d be able to get an idea about the kind of film that it is. revolver entertainment is an idependent film company, its head quaters is based in London and was founded in 1997but still that an office in hollywood,  unlike the other major film companies which have been around as early as 1910.  The film also makes links to ‘kidulthood’ because it was distrubuted by the same company, straight away the audience knows what to expect from the film.

The audience knows that the film will have similar traits to ‘kidulthood’ such as gangs, gun, violence, sex and maybe drugs. The characters in kidulthood as are starred in ‘shank” e.g.  Ashley ‘ Bashy’ Thomas and Adam Deacon.

Forms- The lighting in this trailer is very dark, which protrays this film to be a  really dingy, gritty film.  This film is set in london and it isnt the london that we usually see in films,we usually see ariel shots of the london eye and big ben. Its almost like the director’s wanting us to see that there’s another side to london, as Londoners we would watch this film because we can relate to it because it is reality/ real life. The sub-title of ” LONDON 2015″ is written in bold before any of the footage is shown, this suggest that the film is set in a diffrent period of time. It suggest that this will be london if we do’nt put a stop to this gang violence, it would be a huge problem for us in the future. The characters are dress in hoodies, tracksuits and trainers. This is typical types of clothing for members of gang or youths today, this film is about the gun & knife culture and it does convey the idea’s that follow it and we can identify this in the trailer. The blood on the boys hand , reprsents death, revenge and destruction. The graffti on the walls and buildings. The director edited the film in a certain so that it relates to the title “SHANK’

The only way is Essex portrays a classy and stylish lifestyle which follows the fabulous life of young males and female characters. Some scenes in the text may not be real, which is put in place for the purposes of the audiences entertainment.

Forms- The characters are introduced in the first scene then all together, when all together they are standing in different positions, which may suggest the status of each individual or who is more dominantly financially stable. There’s many close ups to maybe show that they’re showing off their wealth, its very in your face i’m rich and you wish you was like us kind of.  The camera also uses a close up to focus on the male characters muscle because its stereotypically a man should be muscular and  he should would out at the guy, inorder for im to get the ladies and for him to be considered as “Hot” or “Fit”. we could also know where they’re from because of the strong cockney accents.

audiences- this would appeal to young people because the charcters are young and good looking. It will also appleal to a younger audience because they’ll want to asspire to be like the characters seen in the text. this is because they’re successful, they’re rich and they get hot guys/girls.

Representation- this is an ‘ apprent’ representation of the lives of people who live in Essex, for people who haven’t been to Essex it may convey idea’s and meanings on their views of the glamours life in Essex. One idea that they might have come across from this text is that this lavish life style only appeals to white  European women who are most likely to be blonde or bunnette. Another idea that comes across in this text is the influence of masculinity, the male characters in this programme are again european/white and they are represented as players , who think of women as objects. there’s also another representation of masculinty , which may come off as more femmine is the character who commented on the brunnet girls dress. He conveys idea’s of a girls bestfriend , which is what many women what.

Institution- ITV2, which usually shows people who haves lavish, over the top, gorgous lifestyles. most of their programs are introduced with flashing lights and upbeat music, which carries the same traites as this text. it can be compared to ‘ What Katie Did Next”.
